Thank you for your patience as we work out the details of the march, here are some progress updates.
Location: Unfortunately, we have ran into some issues with double booking of our location, however we are working tirelessly to finalize the permits, we expect that to happen very soon!
Volunteers: Each of our volunteer teams are working to make this a safe, accessible, family friendly and earth friendly event. Some of our teams include Safety, Accessibility, Diversity Outreach, Research, Environment and Cleanup, Media and Photography, etc. Our team has met to work together and will continue to meet more often as the date of the march nears.
Needed: We are still looking for Safety and Environmental volunteers to join those teams, if you are interested please fill in our volunteer form letting us know what group you would like to join.
Contests: Our Kid Student Speaker contest has ended, however our Higher Education Student Contest has been extended to March 31st. For more details check out our Facebook page: facebook.com/marchforsciencehou
Teach-In: We are working with local institutions to bring you some exciting teach ins! Some of them include the American Chemical Society, Houston Oasis, 2 Postdoc Associations that will showcase medical advancements but are not officially representing their institutions and others.
