We did it! We marched, we made our voices heard, but our work will not end on April 22nd, this is just the beginning. We hope you will stay to continue what we started.

#SciHelpTX Labs Initiative

Climate change has sparked many arguments in the past, but with natural disasters likeHurricane Harvey, the scientific community has little doubt of its massive impact. Global warming, record rainfall, urban development and deforestationhave all contribute to the situations we find ourselves in today, but no matter how we got here, one thing we know is that Houston is stronger together.

March for Science – Houston stands in solidarity with those affected by Hurricane Harvey, we are determined to help meet the needs of our scientific community. That is why we helped organize the #SciHelpTX Labs. We asked laboratories around the country to open their doors to displaced scientists affected by Harvey, the response was overwhelming! We have collected offers from over 300 labs as far as Canada, Germany and France!

If your lab has sustained damage during the storms please check out our database for available assistance HERE. If your lab is able to accommodate displaced scientists and students anywhere in the world, please contact us at social@scientistsmarchonhouston.org to be added to our database.

Thank you for making this possible.
